The Community Gardens aren’t owned by anyone, which is why they belong to everyone. A row of strawberries here, a curl of mint there, and a small handwritten sign that simply reads: Take what you need—leave what you can. Some come for herbs. Some come for quiet. Most leave with a little more hope than they arrived with.
